First heads are ready

Apologies

I need to apologize if we are going slower than anticipated. Ronny the person we hired to make the support files and optimize the heads is quite meticulous, and had an extra real job load due to other employees getting COVID. 

First 20 heads 100% ready

No we have more files ready, but to avoid issues like the ones we had with the HG3.0 we are test printing all of them before releasing them. The 20 heads we are uploading now to MMF are 100% accurate, compressed and easy to print.  Our new process involves a few extra steps now. And we release the files only after doing 100% test print to be sure they are as perfect as we can. 

Today he gave me a USB pen with the first 20 heads that are 100% good, and 40 resin version of each head.  They are coming... 

MMF

I am currently uploading them to MMF, and will share them as soon as they are up. First batch going to the all-in and the same folder on MMF will be updated as soon as more heads become available. The smaller STL pledges will be sent as soon as all the heads are ready. I have put a bit of pressure on Ronny to complete the task a bit faster.

Almost

Almost ready, the person we added to our team is quite meticulous, and making sure all heads both digital and printed are at the max level.  This is taking a bit longer then I expected. But the final result will be top quality resin, and files light and easy to print. 

Where are we standing? 

DIGITAL FILES - Almost all done, I was just told by the end of the week I may get them all.  Before finalizing them he is also test printing them all to be 100% sure they work. 

RESIN HEADS - We started and the first heads are done, as we do print them on racks of 10 pieces should not take long. I should get some images tomorrow. 

Overall

Sorry for the not so fancy and rewarding update, I was hoping to deliver all STL by mid June, and all resin out beg of Jul, it may take a few extra weeks.  But I want to be sure to deliver a top quality product.

STL files

Almost all of them are ready, only a few left to test print. And once uploaded will share.

Our new person in charge took some extra time to optimize/fix and support all the files.

Resin Models

Next step is to start printing the heads and start shipping. More updates coming soon. We just moved all our printers to the shop and will be printing form there. All heads were print tested so is just a matter of printing time.

STL Pledges "NOT" ALL Digital Models

In the options you got only one option stating mail or email. I will handle the delivery of the single heads directly. I am waiting to uplaod all the heads and create share links for them. Once ready I willpost another update with an email to write to with the list of the heads you want.

I just got approved a few hours ago. And launched the SMOKE TEST. 

A few of you will get the survey, as soon as I get confirmation that all seems ok I will send it out to everyone. 

A bit behind schedule

Current status

a) 90% of the heads were resized, and supported. 

b) We started creating the 25 head sprues that we will use to print all the resin ones to ship.

c) The pledge manager is taking a bit longer, mounting 140 files linked to 140 images (actually 280 counting the STL is a very time consuming job) all items have bene created, next step are the images I am working on now. The setting up the questions and  release. 

Real life issues

Matter of fact I wasted a lot of time after some real life/job issues, with an unexpected 7 day work trip, and some neighbors that raised hell with another one about the house lights being to bright, that involved all of us, escalating to the point were we had to get a lawyer, and spent 3hrs in a meeting with the Major.  I am always amazed of humans, life has real issues, challenges and more serious stuff. And it amazes me how someone can loose days/weeks fighting for a light emitting 8 lux instead of what the law states 5 lux.  And believe me 8 lux is probably the light of a candle, we are not talking about 1000W lights pointed against him. Sorry for the rant, but almost 20 hrs of my life were spent for such thing and I am still mad.

That said, we are working and we will deliver as usual the product at the best of our capabilities. 

Since we were behind I personally hired a professional to help us with the supports to cut down time, and provide a top quality supported model for each head. A bit costly but I am sure it will pay off in the long run.  

Next Update

I will try to do one next week, but at the same time I try to avoid too many updates as I know most don't read them and the other find them annoying (I am the second part when I am the backer ha ha)
